Every Child, A Strong Start

We believe every child deserves the best possible start. Whether your child already has an EHCP or is just beginning their journey, Imperial Oaks Nursery offers a safe, inclusive, and inspiring setting where they can grow with confidence.

Speech and Language Therapy

Communication underpins all learning and relationships.
Our Speech and Language Therapy (SaLT) service supports children who may have challenges with:

  • Speech and sound development
  • Understanding and using language
  • Social interaction and communication
  • Early play and attention skills

Therapy is delivered through play-based sessions, small group work, and integrated classroom strategies — helping children develop communication skills naturally within their daily routines.

Occupational Therapy

Our Occupational Therapy (OT) service helps children develop essential physical, sensory, and practical life skills through fun, play-based experiences. Support includes:

  • Fine and gross motor development
  • Sensory processing and regulation
  • Early self-care skills (feeding, dressing, toileting)
  • Play, coordination, and spatial awareness

All OT activities are seamlessly built into the nursery day to make therapy enjoyable and meaningful.

Support (When Needed)

Some children benefit from more focused, individual attention.
Where appropriate, we provide 1:1 support to ensure that every child feels safe, engaged, and fully supported throughout their daily learning experiences — while always encouraging independence and self-confidence.

Working Together

We believe that the best outcomes for children come from strong collaboration between families and professionals.

Our SEND Specialist Head leads a dedicated multi-disciplinary team of therapists and early years staff who work closely with parents, carers, and local authorities to create consistent, holistic care.

Together, we build strong foundations for communication, independence, and future learning success.
