Our SEND Offer
At Imperial Oaks Nursery, we are proud to be an approved specialist early years nursery for children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). We provide a warm, nurturing, and inclusive environment where children aged 0 to 5 years can learn, develop, and flourish at their own pace. Our approach focuses on early identification, early intervention, and individualised care, ensuring that every child receives the support they need during these crucial formative years.
Our Learning Environment
Our nursery has been purposefully designed to meet the diverse needs of young children with SEND. We offer:
- Three spacious classrooms, each adapted to different stages of early learning and sensory development
- A dedicated Sensory Room, providing a calm and therapeutic space for sensory exploration and regulation
- A vibrant Activity Room, promoting creativity, movement, and social play
- A secure Outdoor Learning Area, where children can explore nature, develop physical skills, and enjoy active play

Who We Support
As a specialist SEND nursery, we welcome and support:
- Children with identified special educational needs or disabilities
- Children whose developmental needs are emerging or still being assessed
- Children in the process of securing an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) Whether your child has a formal diagnosis or is at the early stages of assessment, we provide the right level of care, expertise, and encouragement to help them reach their potential.
Guidance for Families
We know that navigating the EHCP process can feel overwhelming. Our experienced team provides practical guidance and step-by-step support for parents and carers throughout the journey.
From gathering professional evidence to understanding local authority requirements, we’re here to help you secure the right support and provision for your child. Our aim is to make the process clear, collaborative, and empowering.
Funding Options
Imperial Oaks Nursery is an approved early years provider for the government’s 15- and 30-hour free childcare funding. Eligible families can access up to 30 hours of free early education and childcare per week, making our specialist SEND provision more accessible. Our admissions team can advise you on eligibility and guide you through the funding application process if needed.
